I've been thinking about this off-and-on for years, but it's time to get serious about it: enabling dolphins and/or whales to participate in the Internetocracy. The dolphin language has been studied for decades, and some progress has been made, but until an interface is developed that truly enables cetaceans to communicate electronically I'm afraid we won't have a good chance of avoiding global catastrophe.
